"Protect The Nest" ticket packages go on sale Thursday for season-ticket holders and on Saturday to the general public.

Most single-game seats for the Cardinals' 2009 season will go on sale to the general public Aug. 8, although season-ticket holders will have a chance at buying seats two days before that through an exclusive pre-sale.

The Cards will also be re-visiting the "Protect The Nest" concept this season given the anticipated high demand of tickets for the home games against Green Bay and Minnesota, packages that will go on sale at the end of this week.

Fans looking for single-game tickets for the game Dec. 6 against the Vikings can purchase the "Red" package, which includes tickets to the Aug. 22 game against the San Diego Chargers and the Oct. 11 game against the Houston Texans.

Fans looking for single-game tickets for the game Jan. 3 against the Green Bay Packers can purchase the "White" package, which includes tickets to the game against the Chargers and also the Aug. 28 date against the Packers.

Tickets to the Vikings' game and the Packers' regular-season game will only be available through the plan. Season-ticket holders will have the chance to begin buying "Protect The Nest" plans Thursday (July 30) at 8:30 a.m. only through the account manager function at azcardinals.com.

The public can buy "Protect The Nest" plans beginning Saturday (Aug. 1) at 9 a.m. only through azcardinals.com. Beginning Aug. 3, the plans can be purchased at the team's Tempe facility (8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.) and at University of Phoenix Stadium (10 a.m. to 6 p.m.). Prices start at $150 plus applicable fees.

For tickets for the remainder of the home schedule (excluding the Vikings and Packers regular-season games), season-ticket holders can buy through a pre-sale Aug. 6 at 8:30 a.m. via Ticketmaster.com. For the general public, individual game tickets are available Aug. 8 at 9 a.m. only through Ticketmaster.com, at participating Ticketmaster locations or over the phone at 1-800-745-3000.

Tickets will not be available at the team facility or University of Phoenix Stadium until Aug. 10.
