The Cardinals are getting wide receiver Trent Sherfield back, after the special teams ace was activated from the Reserve/COVID list Wednesday among a handful of roster moves.
The Cards also moved defensive lineman Leki Fotu (ankle) and cornerback Kevin Peterson (concussion) to IR/Designated to Return list, opening a three-week window for each to eventually get back on to the active roster.
Sherfield's return means the Cards still have wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald and safety Deionte Thompson on the COVID list. Coach Kliff Kingsbury expressed optimism Wednesday that Thompson would return soon, but there is less certainty about Fitzgerald's ability to be ready so soon.
The Cardinals also re-signed tight end Evan Baylis to the practice squad.
