The Arizona Cardinals selected Georgia center Lamont Gaillard as the overall no. 179 pick in the 2019 NFL Draft on Saturday. The Cardinals acquired the sixth-round pick from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers after they signed Bruce Arians to be their coach. Gaillard gives the Cardinals a tough addition to the offensive line. He started all 14 games in 2018 and earned first-team All-SEC accolades as a senior at Georgia. Gaillard is the first Georgia player drafted by the Cardinals since 2006 (Leonard Pope) and just the third Bulldog selected by Arizona in the last 25 years.
