The 49ers won again with Garoppolo, while the Rams and Seahawks lost


The Jaguars' offense made some big plays in a win over the Seahawks.


Last time out: 49ers 26, Texans 16

Record: 3-10 overall, 0-5 in division

Snapshot: The 49ers scored the final 13 points of the game to pick up the road victory. Quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo threw for a career-high 334 yards and a touchdown to improve to 2-0 as the starter in San Francisco.

Notable: Texans quarterback Tom Savage was hit hard by Elvis Dumervil in the first half and was eventually removed from the game. Backup T.J. Yates threw a pair of touchdown passes but the Houston offense stalled down the stretch. San Francisco wide receiver Marquise Goodwin had six catches for 106. The 49ers rolled up 416 yards of total offense.

Quotable: "It's only my second start. I'm gaining that trust in my guys and they're gaining it in me. I think it's going in the right direction." – Garopollo, via, on the chemistry of the offense.

Key Stat:Three. The number of wins for the 49ers in their past four games after an 0-9 start.

Last time out: Jaguars 30, Seahawks 24

Record: 8-5 overall, 4-0 in division

Snapshot: Quarterback Russell Wilson threw for 271 yards and three touchdowns but was also picked off three times. The Jaguars took a 17-point lead early in the fourth quarter. Wilson found Paul Richardson and Tyler Lockett on long touchdown passes to cut into the lead, but couldn't convert on a late fourth-and-9.

Notable: Tempers flared at the end of the game. Seattle defensive linemen Sheldon Richardson and Quinton Jefferson were ejected for their actions, and Jefferson attempted to climb into the stands after getting hit with an object thrown by a fan.

Quotable: "When you turn it over three times, and you have a huge play in the kicking game, and you have a huge play against your defense, it's really hard to win." – Seahawks coach Pete Carroll, via, on the comeback falling short.

Injury Update:Star linebacker Bobby Wagner left the game with a hamstring injury and his status for Sunday is unknown.

Next up: The Seahawks host the Rams in Week 15 in a crucial NFC West showdown.


Last time out: Eagles 43, Rams 35

Record: 9-4 overall, 3-1 in division

Snapshot: The Rams rallied from a 10-point halftime deficit to take the lead in the fourth quarter, but the Eagles made the big plays down the stretch. Jake Elliott hit a 33-yard field goal with 3:45 remaining to give Philadelphia a one-point lead, and the Eagles added a defensive touchdown on the final play of the game to clinch the win.

Notable: Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz threw four touchdown passes but tore his ACL in the second half, ending his season. Rams running back Todd Gurley had 13 carries for 96 yards and two touchdowns, while Cooper Kupp added five catches for 118 yards and a score.

Quotable: "What we're not going to do is we're not going to beat ourselves. Unfortunately, there were some instances today where we gave them some free first downs because of things that we can control." – coach Sean McVay, via, on some crucial unforced errors.

Injury Update:Rams cornerback Kavon Webster will miss the rest of the season after rupturing his Achilles in the game.

Next up: The Rams travel to play the Seahawks in Week 15.
