The Cardinals will tune up for their much-anticipated 2016 journey with a four-game preseason dalliance against AFC foes, including a nationally televised road game against the Texans on Aug. 28 in the third exhibition week.

The preseason will begin when the Cardinals host the Raiders. Their first road trip will be to San Diego to play the Chargers in the second week, followed by the game in Houston, which will be shown at 1 p.m. Arizona time on FOX NFL Sunday. The preseason will wrap up with a home game against the Broncos, marking the 11th time in the past 13 seasons it concludes against Denver.

The date and times beyond the Texans' game are not yet finalized. The Cardinals will host Oakland between Aug. 11-15 and play the Chargers between Aug. 18-22. The finale against the Broncos will be held on Sept. 1 or 2.

The Cardinals will be on national television in the preseason's third week – known as the most important as the starters prepare for the regular season – for the third straight year.

The regular season schedule is expected to be released later this month. The Cardinals' home opponents are the Patriots, Jets, Saints, Buccaneers, Redskins, Rams, Seahawks and 49ers. They will travel to play the Bills, Dolphins, Panthers, Falcons, Vikings, Rams, Seahawks and 49ers.

The Cardinals will get back to work this offseason when the strength and conditioning program begins on April 18. The draft will be held from April 28-30.
