The Cardinals released defensive tackle Garrison Smith on Tuesday, although there was no corresponding move yet to fill Smith's spot on the 53-man roster.

Coach Steve Wilks said Monday that linebacker Dennis Gardeck (ankle) and defensive tackle Olsen Pierre (toe) are the injured players in most jeopardy of missing this week's game.

The Cardinals also swapped out linebackers on the practice squad, dropping B.J. Bello in favor of Nigel Harris. Harris, a rookie last season, has spent time with the Chargers, Giants and Buccaneers. The Bucs cut Harris at the end of the preseason.

Smith had been claimed off waivers from the Falcons following final cutdowns the first weekend in September. He played in both games for the Cardinals, logging 16 snaps and a tackle against the Rams.
