The Cardinals, who last hosted the Chargers during the preseason of the 2009 season, host them again this preseason.

The Cardinals will host the Dallas Cowboys and the San Diego Chargers in their preseason schedule for 2013, which was released by the NFL Thursday.

The Cards open the preseason in Green Bay sometime the weekend of Aug. 8-11. That's followed by the visit from the Cowboys Aug. 15-19 and then the game against the Chargers Aug. 22-25. The Cardinals close the preseason in Denver against the Broncos Aug 29 or 30.

The game against the Chargers marks the return of Ken Whisenhunt to University of Phoenix Stadium. The former Cardinals coach is now the offensive coordinator for San Diego.

The official dates and corresponding kickoff times are yet to be determined. The regular-season schedule is expected to be released sometime in the next couple of weeks.

No dates have been announced for the Cardinals' training camp schedule. That usually comes out in late June.

Asked about the location of training camp for 2013 at the Carson Palmer press conference Tuesday, Team President Michael Bidwill said there was no new news to report.

The Cardinals have sold out all 73 games played (including preseason and postseason) at University of Phoenix Stadium. For ticket information, call 602-379-0102 or check the ticket page on azcardinals.com.
