The Cardinals re-signed wide receiver Chris Hubert Tuesday among four roster moves.

"Little Smoke" is back.

Wide receiver Chris Hubert – whose nickname is "Little Smoke," not to be confused with the "Smoke" nickname of fellow wideout John Brown – was one of three players signed Tuesday by the Cardinals as they begin their three-day mandatory minicamp.

The Cardinals also signed undrafted rookie cornerback Daniel Gray and veteran linebacker Alex Bazzie, and released rookie linebacker Mikey Bart.

Bazzie is on his third team this offseason, having spent time on the rosters of Indianapolis and Carolina. He has played the last three seasons in the Canadian Football League, recording 29 sacks in 50 games with the British Columbia Lions. He had a career-best 11 sacks last season.

Gray, a Utah State product, participated as a tryout player in the Cardinals' rookie minicamp last month. He is a cousin of Cardinals quarterbacks coach Byron Leftwich.

Hubert was originally signed last offseason after participating as a tryout player in rookie minicamp. He spent the season both on the practice squad (six weeks) and the active roster (three weeks, inactive each game). He was cut just prior to this year's rookie minicamp.

The Cardinals had been left with three roster openings after releasing quarterback Zac Dysert and rookie safeties Drico Johnson and and Cyril Noland-Lewis last week. Dysert was claimed off waivers by the Cowboys on Monday.

The Cardinals begin their three-day mandatory minicamp today. Following Thursday's work, veterans are off until the opening of training camp in late July. Training camp dates have not yet been announced.
