Patrick Peterson, Pharoh Cooper to play but Markus Golden won't

Defensive end Markus Golden is heading into potential free agency, but he will not have a chance to play a potential final home game at State Farm Stadium after spraining his ankle last week, as he ends up as one of the Cardinals inactive for the game against the Rams.

Newcomer wide receiver Pharoh Cooper, acquired through waivers after the Rams cut him early last week, is active. Fellow receiver J.J. Nelson, who missed most of practices this week with food poisoning and the birth of his child, is inactive. And, of course, cornerback Patrick Peterson -- who was battling an illness -- will play.

For the Rams, running back Todd Gurley will be inactive because of his injured knee. He looked OK while he was testing it out pregame, but the Rams need him for the playoffs and figure it's better to rest him now. How new running back C.J. Anderson does after signing -- his signing was the reason the Rams cut Cooper last week -- will be interesting to watch.
