The Cardinals will host the Saints in a nationally televised game on ESPN to open the preseason schedule in August.

The Cardinals will open the preseason with a nationally televised ESPN game on a Thursday night, hosting the New Orleans Saints at University of Phoenix Stadium.

The game will kick off at 5 p.m. Arizona time Aug. 7, called by the network's "Monday Night Football" crew of Mike Tirico, Ron Jaworski and Tony Kornheiser.

The Cards will then go on the road for back-to-back weeks, playing in Kansas City sometime between Aug. 14 and 18 and traveling to Oakland for a game between Aug. 21 and 25.

The Cardinals close the preseason with a home game against Denver on either Aug. 28 or 29.

The Cards have finished the preseason against the Broncos every season since 2004.

The Raiders will be a preseason opponent for the 10th time in 13 seasons.

The exact dates and times are expected to be finalized by the home teams by the end of the month.

The release of the regular-season schedule isn't expected before next week at the earliest.

Those opponents are already set for the Cardinals: Home games against Seattle, San Francisco, St. Louis, Minnesota, Dallas, the New York Giants, Buffalo and Miami; road trips to Seattle, San Francisco, St. Louis, Carolina, Washington, Philadelphia, New England and the New York Jets.
