When Simi Fehoko was sidelined for the second half of the 2025 season, his loss was immediately felt on special teams.
The Cardinals will get him back on the field in 2026, after Fehoko signed a one-year deal on Friday to return.
Last season was a roller coaster for the wide receiver. After an impressive preseason, Fehoko did not make the initial 53-man roster. While he managed to secure a practice-squad spot, it wasn't long before he was signed to the active roster. Fehoko filled in for Joey Blount's vacant special teams responsibilities after Blount was lost with a neck injury.
Fehoko’s toughness was one of his more admirable qualities on the field. Against the Seahawks in Week 10, Fehoko injured his ankle, taped it up, and on the following kickoff, broke his arm.
Through eight games played in 2025, Fehoko had a career-high 116 special teams snaps. Offensively, he saw 37 snaps and did not see a target.
In a room that already has Marvin Harrison Jr. and Michael Wilson, the Cardinals also added Kendrick Bourne earlier in the week. Bourne will slide in as WR3. The Cardinals understand Fehoko's impact on special teams, and with another successful preseason campaign, he could vie for an offensive role.
