After losing Aaron Brewer to a broken arm, the Cardinals are still trying to stabilize their long snapper situation.

They signed veteran Beau Brinkley the the practice squad Friday, two days after signing veteran Kyle Nelson to the practice squad. Nelson was moved to the practice squad injured reserve on Friday with an undisclosed injury.

Brinkley was released by the Tennessee Titans last season after more than eight seasons as the team's long snapper. Brinkley was named to three Pro Bowls and was a first-team All-Pro in 2019 and a second-team All-Pro in 2018.

Brinkley was briefly with the Lions' practice squad earlier this season.

Brewer was put on IR on Wednesday and is expected to miss "a number of weeks." Brewer has been the Cardinals' long snapper since early in the 2016 season.

Brinkley will get elevated to the active roster Saturday to be eligible to play Sunday.
