The Cardinals have a chance to get a couple more roster pieces back, after opening the practice window Wednesday for two linebackers on Injured Reserve: Tanner Vallejo and Ezekiel Turner.

With both being designated to return from IR, they each have 21 days to be activated or remain on IR for the balance of the season.

The Cardinals also activated punter Andy Lee from the Covid list and released punter Ryan Winslow from the practice squad. Not only is Lee a Pro Bowl alternate as punter, the Cardinals missed his skills as holder for kicker Matt Prater in the lost to the Colts. Prater missed two field goals and an extra point.

Vallejo went on IR with a knee injury on Nov. 20. Turner has been on IR since Oct. 13 with a shoulder injury. At the time of his injury Vallejo had surpassed Zaven Collins on the depth chart as the team's top backup behind Jordan Hicks and Isaiah Simmons. Turner is one of the Cards' top special teams players.
