TAMPA, Fla. -- Will Hernandez's comeback has been cut short.

The Cardinals put the starting right guard on Injured Reserve on Saturday with his hip and knee injuries, having appeared in only seven games this season. His debut earlier in the season had been delayed by his ACL rehab, an injury that kept him to only five games in 2024.

Replacing him on the roster is rookie offensive lineman Hayden Conner, who had been on IR with a knee injury since the beginning of the season.

The Cardinals still only have 52 on the roster, after the release of linebacker Xavier Thomas on Friday.

Isaiah Adams, who was the starting right guard coming into the season, will now have a chance to finish the season in the same role.

For Sunday's game against the Buccaneers, the Cardinals also elevated tight end Pharoah Brown for a third straight game -- his last elevation allowed -- and linebacker Channing Tindall from the practice squad.
