Monti Ossenfort has heavily invested in the defensive front throughout the offseason and continues to do so by adding Patrick Jenkins.
The Cardinals also announced the release of defensive lineman Ben Stille, who had spent most of 2024 with the team.
Jenkins, a defensive lineman out of Tulane, went undrafted last month. The New Orleans native earned an invite to the Saints' rookie minicamp a few weeks back but was not signed.
Over the last two seasons, Jenkins was the Green Wave's leader in sacks and tackles for loss. He finished his three-year career with 107 tackles, 28 tackles for loss, and 13 sacks. Jenkins was also credited with a safety in Tulane's 46-45 Cotton Bowl victory over USC in 2023.
With the additions of Dalvin Tomlinson, Calais Campbell, Walter Nolen III, and a healthy trio of Darius Robinson, Justin Jones, and Bilal Nichols, the Cardinals have a loaded defensive line unit. Jenkins joins the mix in the crowded position room, just days before OTAs take place.
