Larry Fitzgerald gets a hole in one, with former President Obama as witness

After the season ends, Larry Fitzgerald always travels to various parts of the world. Oh, and he gets back into his golf game. Fitz has always loved that sport, and he takes the time to play at famous courses and even not quite as famous.

Friday, it turns out he found himself with a chance to play a round with former President Barack Obama. That's cool enough, regardless of how he played. (Although knowing Fitz, he still wanted to win.) Playing at the Seminole Golf Club in Florida, Fitzgerald also had something else big happen. He made a hole-in-one.

I'd love to know who Fitz had picked to call for the unlikely cell phone exclamation.

The shot came from 162 yards out, with an 8-iron.

Fitzgerald still hasn't decided if he is going to play football in 2019. That questions remains up in the air, and continues to prompt speculation even though nothing has changed from when Fitz talked about it near the end of the regular season. But we all knew he was going to play golf.

Fitzgerald is only a few weeks from (I am assuming) defending his title at the Pebble Beach Pro-Am. He's played golf recently with Tiger Woods, and now, the President. I am waiting to hear what Patrick Peterson -- he of the ongoing golf battle with Fitz -- has to think of all this.
