The offensive line had some changeups on Sunday, a game in which the Cardinals had a season-high 79 offensive snaps (and an NFL-record 47 pass completions by quarterback Jacoby Brissett.)
Isaiah Adams, who began the year at right guard while Will Hernandez was recovering from an ACL tear and then ceded his starting spot to Hernandez, was rotating with Hernandez at times, getting 28 snaps over a total of four offensive series. At right tackle, the groin injury Kelvin Beachum had been battling took Beachum out in the second half, opening the door for rookie Josh Fryar. Fryar, who had played a total of nine offensive snaps coming into the game, was going to help serve as an extra lineman originally, which is what Beachum had been doing when regular right tackle Jonah Williams was healthy. That, and then Beachum's injury, let Fryar play 31 snaps in the game.
Tight end Trey McBride played 70 snaps, his largest total of the season, leading to his 10-115-1 stat line. And with both Zay Jones and Marvin Harrison Jr. out (and Michael Wilson playing well in the role of WR1 with a 15-185 day), there was more playing time for both Greg Dortch (season-high 52 snaps) and Xavier Weaver (a career-high 57 snaps and his first two NFL receptions.)
Defensively, rookie inside linebacker Cody Simon played every snap again (55) and collected a game-high 12 tackles. And outside linebacker BJ Ojulari played in a game for the first time since the 2023 season, totaling 23 defensive snaps and another 13 on special teams.
Coming off a game in which he left with a groin injury, defensive lineman Darius Robinson played 33 snaps -- his highest total since Week 3 -- and his percentage was a season-high 60. Cornerback Max Melton came off his concussion to play every snap for the first time since Week 1.
The game also marked a season-low in snaps for outside linebackers Josh Sweat and Zaven Collins (25) each, and defensive linemen Dalvin Tomlinson (23) and Calais Campbell (22).
