Trey McBride not only ranks well ahead of all tight ends with his stats this season, he is among the top NFL pass catchers period with his 88 catches for 879 yards and 8 touchdowns. So it's no surprise that after the first round of native voting for the Pro Bowl, McBride has more votes than any tight end in the league.
McBride, who is ahead of No. 2 Tyler Warren of the Colts, is one of five Cardinals who is ranked among the top 10 at their positions.
Outside linebacker Josh Sweat, who has 11 sacks already, is fifth in the NFL and third in the NFC, behind the Giants' Brian Burns and the Rams' Byron Young. Defensive tackle Calais Campbell is also fifth, and second in the NFC behind Seattle's Byron Murphy II.
Left tackle Paris Johnson Jr. is eighth among tackles -- all seven tackles ahead of him are also in the NFC, so he faces an uphill climb. And Greg Dortch is sixth among return men, and fourth among NFC vote getters.
Voting for the Pro Bowl can be done through Dec. 15. Voting lists are only taken from team sites or NFL.com; social votes will be tallied and added later. A third of the final vote comes from fans, with a third from the player vote and a third from the coaches vote.
